Campgrounds

There are 41 parks/sites that offer camping – 39 of which offer basic/walk-in, electric, and/or full hook up sites while the other 2 only offer primitive sites.

Campsites can be reserved up to 12-months in advance with on-season being April through October (November for a few parks). Reservations can be made online or by phone. Rates vary by location and site type.

A few things we have learned: 1. reserve early (especially for holiday weekends); 2. check the status map for any park operation changes before heading to the parks; 3. if water is a concern, try reserving a site close to a spigot; 4. print or save the campground map before heading to the park; and 5. Check-in online before leaving home in case you have issues with cell service when you arrive.
