About Wandering Missouri
As residents of Missouri, we are fortunate to have one of the best state park systems in the country and it is our goal to explore each park and historic site. In doing so, it allows us to gather all of the details (good and bad) not provided on the park website and share that information here. We often find the “fear of the unknown” is one of the things keeping families from exploring. About Missouri State Parks
Currently, there are 93 sites within the system – 57 parks and 36 historic sites. Each sites offers a wide array of recreational and educational opportunities for visitors. Best of all, they are FREE! Yep, that’s right, our parks are free to explore. And, not just for Missouri resident, for everyone.
